My wife Tracy and I don’t own a car, so when we have to pick up large items from Ikea or Home Depot (small items can be done by bike of course, like Duncan knows), we get a Zipcar for a couple of hours… specifically a Toyota Matrix, as it uses very little gas but can hold a ton of stuff, especially long items up to 8 feet long.

So, we went there last night (we typically try to avoid “Sweden” on weekends) because we are planning to buy some shelving and storage for our second bedroom as I’m renovating it into a nursery.

Ikea has special parking for the handicapped, expectant mothers and families with small children, and hybrid cars, and my wife noticed that one of the two hybrid spots we had parked near was filled up with a Hummer when we left the store. The license plate read FUNB4UDI.

It was awful to see… but we laughed at the absurdity of it (and the audacity of it, as there were lots of other spots free) and I took a photo of it with my cellphone (which explains the poor quality)… prompting other people walking by to get our their phones too.
