Count: Breaking 200!
By Joe T. | June 1, 2010
I’ve been a bad blogger here on Joe Bikes… preppin’ for a new baby will do that I guess. My focus has been on the main blog and the new BikeMonth section.

Daily Counts of Cyclists
Above is the raw data of my cyclist counts… today was the first day I saw over 200 cyclists (222) it obviously fluctuates wildly from one day to the next… and I’ve noticed some distinct trends depending on when I leave the house:

8:15 and 8:30 departure times are obviously primetime for cyclists!
I’ve also done up Monthly stats that look at avg. temperatures and cyclist numbers.

temperature rising, cyclists rising.
I won’t be commuting much in June because I’m taking most of the month off to not get sleep at home with baby.
Yes, I’ll do a quick post here whenever the baby makes his/her appearance.

Nice charts! Since you’re breaking 200 cyclists occasionally, and it’s not likely we’ll be seeing morning temperatures in that range any time soon, it might be a good idea to plot the temperature line on a secondary scale, so that you can see the variation a little better. Although you can definitely see that as temperature goes up, so do the number of cyclists!
