College Bikelane Parkers

By | March 25, 2011

Was on my way to pick up some healthy eats for lunch in the MaRS building (came away with Dragon Roll Sushi and a Booster Juice smoothie) and spotted the College bikelane between University and Elizabeth being used as parking.  Again.  Sigh.

There are two cars (taxis, of course) parked in the distance, and the one closest had moved a bit while I pulled out my phone to take this photo, but he was just sort of sitting here trying to will someone into his cab.

Ah, if I only had a nickel for every parked car I’ve encountered along that stretch of the College bike lane… The other thing that annoys me (has anyone else noticed) are the drivers of the hospital shuttle bus — they drive much too close (often inside) that bike lane along College.

Yes, you are right Lori – the shuttle bus does do that.

That area between University and Bay seems to always have a few parkers, but it’s usually courier trucks (Fedex, Purolater and Canada Post)… taxis are a close 2nd. :)
