Here's an update from Paul Young of the South Riverdale Community Health Centre:
"Reports from the TTC open house indicate that the TTC is open to a meeting with us to talk about pedestrian and cycling improvements on Leslie. Below is an article from the Star’s point of view.
We need to involve some of the people living near or on Eastern and Leslie. Anyone have contacts in that area or willing to talk to folks in that area?
I have asked David Nagler (TTC), Daniel Egan (the City’s Manager of Bicycle Infrastructure planning) and the two councillors Sandra Bussin and Paula Fletcher if we could get together for a workshop to discuss opportunities, challenges and next steps. We also need someone from the Public Realm Office regarding pedestrian issues, maybe someone from planning as well. When things shape up we can invite the Bike Union and Toronto Coalition for Active Transportation and any other interested parties. "
