I go to Quad a few times/week when I’m not actually on the road training. I find the best deal, though, is the unlimited pass – something like $120/month. And yes, it can be intense but suitable for all levels – just be prepared to be working at your limits no matter what your level.

If I recall, the hill in Crother's/Loblaws is a 300m climb averaging 13% gradient (with some of it maxing at 20%) definitely a fun climb!

I know this hill and often incorporate it into my rides through Crothers Woods. I may just be a glutton for punishment, but I love hill climbs.

I can't seem to edit, but the area of Laird I mean is south of Eglinton, leaving Leaside, toward East York. (if you go too far, over the bridge, you hit the Pape/Donlands fork)

There's a great, steep hill near Loblaws off Laird. If you head down Laird toward the Leaside Bridge, turn into the Loblaws parking lot. There's a road down to a water treatment plant.
It's really steep, so it's daunting, but if you need a serious challenge it's great.
