Cool! A former coworker of mine approached me in February wanting to sell a pretty nice road bike but just found out he rediscovered interest in it again so I guess I'm not getting one for a bit.
This weekend has been pretty good so far. Another training ride for the Bike Rally (This one again: http://www.bikely.com/maps/bike-path/34-KM-Finch-Station-to-McCowan-and-Back). Seemed faster and a little easier though the Cummer hill was still a challenge. In part, I'm sure, because of the fact that my bike's pretty heavy. >27 lbs *without* the rack and fenders thus part of the motivation to get a new bike. That said, I've decided that this year I'm not getting a new one and just sticking with the folding bike (2007 version of this: http://www.dahon.com/bikes/2009/cadenza). Sure, it's heavy, but it'll be cheaper and more effective to just lose 10-20 lbs off of *me* than the bike.
After that I got home and rode my first bike over to a friend's house on the east end. He's interested in starting to commute by bike and so I've passed that bike on to him. If he likes it he'll buy it. So I'm now down to 1 bike for the first time in a few years. Good for making space in the shed for sure.
