Looks like I may be doing some local work soon and as I've moved across town, my knowledge of local routes is limited. Anyone ever travel from the west end (Dufferin Station-ish) up to Dufferin and Steeles area? Sure, if I were in a car, just going up Dufferin would be the answer, but I suspect that in addition to being risky, it would result in a huge increase in my disdain for the human race. So any ideas?
My old route from Thorncliffe Park took me to Yonge and Eglinton to Duplex almost all the way up to Wilson where I got on Avenue Rd. to cross over the 401 and then through some residential areas across Bathurst to Wilmington and up to Finch then Dufferin (Sorry, purists, but with the traffic and high speed limits on both Finch and Dufferin, combined with the distinct lack of pedestrians, I do use the sidewalks for those streets out of self preservation but slow down to walking pace when passing those on foot).
Anyway, I think I could pick up Wilmington from this end but it looks like a total *mess* to get to that point. I'd rather not have to go as far east as St. George to catch the northbound route to Yonge and Eglinton that would then use my former route from there but I can't see many better options.
