Small piece in the Star today:
Barack Obama's city guru approves of TorontoQ: What are your initial impressions of Toronto?
"It's a beautiful city. It appears to be quite user-friendly.
"It is an interestingly diverse and international city. I sort of understood it on paper, but when you see the people in the streets, it is indeed a global city."
Q: What parts of the city have you seen?
"I enjoyed the waterfront. The weather was so good that we ate outdoors . . . which is very unusual, I understand.
"I also noticed that there's a lot of bicyclists here. I think one of the things we have to do is make cities around the world more bicycle-friendly and bicycle-safe."
