    So George Smitherman threw his hat into the fight for mayor in 2010. Anyone have any thoughts on how he might lean on cycling advocacy issues?

    That he was minister of Energy and Infrastructure gives me hope that he might be very progressive with sustainable transportation methods like the TTC, and our personal obsession; bicycles :)

    Put together with the obscenely cool budget for bike lanes and paths in 2010, and the PanAm games in 2015, could we be looking at a big push in this city's movement towards a more progressive, forward thinking infrastructure?

  2. I think you're right, Scarr.

    As well, I don't think John Tory would be bad as mayor either... he seems very progressive for someone who ran for the Conservatives.
