I have been playing TaylorMade Burner 2.0 Irons since May 2010, I'm a 20 handicapper. Last week I went for a fitting for a new driver, due to my G15 10.5 Stiff ballooning quite a bit.
I knew what kind of clubs I wanted to try, which was the R11 and TaylorMade Tour Preferred MC Irons, with a direct comparison to the 9 deg G15 aswell. The results were amazing, I was fitted with a 9deg R11. I was dubious as this was the most expensive club I tested but the numbers on Flight scope were impressive. So I bought it! So I played with the Mizuno JPX 800 Driver for the first time yesterday and the results were astounding. The ball flew further with a far more penetrating ball flight, and further.
The TaylorMade Rescue 11 is the latest and greatest from one of the top names in golf. The Flight Control Technology allows you to adjust the club's face, loft and lie for each shot while the lower center of gravity will produce higher launches. This adjustable Ping G20 Pink Driver looks just as good as it plays with a 4-degree face angle change, a 2-degree loft change, a 2-degree lie angle change and a 1,000 RPM spin change, meaning perfect shots from anywhere on the course. It has a new deeper face, which produces a more penetrating flight. The white non-glare crown and black clubface will improve your game and that sleek white finish will make you the center of attention on the course and in the clubhouse according to http://www.discountovergolf.com/Ping-Anser-Forged-Irons-UK_142.html. The "TP" version is designed for more experienced players.
From good lies and the tee the low weight port really helps the ball get airborne, once you find the swing that works that is and this is the bit that takes the time. Before you find the right ball position and angle of attack the ball flight is very low but it still has more spin than a long iron so does not bound and run on out of control. I must disagree with the magazine review that said the white head makes Titleist AP2 712 Irons look large and discourage the better player. I felt the white head had little impact and I soon got used to it. The club generally felt very compact but also easy to hit from all lies. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a quality rescue no matter what brand of club they prefer.
