It was great to see the City add bike lanes to Royal York Road during the redesign of the road back in 2007.
Unfortunately, the street lacks any speed related signage which means that most drivers (TTC buses included) elect to travel at between 50k and 80k effectively scaring the cyclists back unto the sidewalk.
Seems that 5 inches of white paint isn't quite enough to make kids and adults feel like they can safely commute to work or school on the road. Can you blame them?
