  1. Just got back from hauling a trailer full of stuff from our apartment on the east end to our new house on the west end and I have to say, while I am annoyed by folks parked in bike lanes when I'm riding day to day, it's particularly annoying with a heavy trailer that's more difficult to squeeze past, not as maneuverable, and not as easy to quickly come up to speed.

Don't mind me, just whining a bit here.

On the other hand, once I got past downtown and onto the Harbord bike lane things were really nice. I didn't often have much reason to ride that before and am sad I didn't. Mostly clear lanes, low traffic. Between that one and riding St. George it was a nice glimpse of how things *could* be...

  2. Yeah, except the Harbord lane heading West has a big gap just West of Spadina where you end up riding in the door zone for several blocks.

How about organizing a "move Todd's stuff" Critical Mass this Friday evening? It would be kind of neat to get a bunch of cyclists with trailers doing a run!

  3. Yeah now that you mention, I did notice that gap. Still, coming from roughly Don Mills & Eglinton this is a HUGE improvement.

The moving mass would've been fun but I suspect after a few trips with a Subaru station wagon we're picking up from Zipcar tomorrow we'll be all done. It is a nice mental image, though.
