  1. Originally I believe this was scheduled for 2PM. According to Bike Lane Diary it looks like it's been moved to 7PM.

Meeting place will be Bloor & Spadina. From what I understand this will be when the ghost bike will be installed.

  2. The Toronto Sun covered it:

    • Darcy Allan Sheppard would be "mad" if he saw a memorial honouring a cyclist who died the way he did, one of his friend said.

More than 50 cyclists remembered Sheppard in a vigil last night on Bloor St. near Avenue Rd., where the 33-year-old bike courier died Aug. 31 after a high-profile altercation.

Former Ontario attorney general Michael Bryant is charged with criminal negligence causing death and dangerous operation of a vehicle causing death.

"He wouldn't find much humour in this," said Brian Harris, a close friend of Sheppard for over 12 years.

"He'd be mad about one of his friends dying like this. It's horrible and gruesome. And I'm mad like he would be." The group gathered at Spadina Ave. and Bloor around 7 p.m. and dinging their bells slowly travelled to the memorial lamp post, decorated with flowers, notes and photos dedicated to Sheppard. Beside several candles was a sign that read, "Love you, bud."

A "ghost bike" -- a bicycle painted white -- was attached to the monument as a symbol to invite Sheppard's spirit to continue riding.
