Unfortunately, 3 more cyclists have recently been injured on the roads:

Three cyclists were in hospital after three separate bicycle-vehicle collisions yesterday.

A 20-year-old woman was cycling north on McCaul St., near Spadina Ave. and College St., at about 10:30 a.m. when the driver of a parked car opened the door into her path. The cyclist swerved left into the path of another northbound vehicle.

She was taken to hospital with serious head and back injuries and remained in serious condition last night.

Less than two hours later, a cyclist in his mid-20s was seriously injured after colliding with a streetcar in Kensington.

Toronto police responded to the cyclist-streetcar collision just after noon on Spadina Ave. near Nassau St.

The man is listed in serious condition.

In a third collision about 4:30 p.m., a cyclist in his early 20s was hit by a car at Bellamy Rd. N. and Progress Ave. in Scarborough, police said.

Witnesses who called 911 said the cyclist was conscious and breathing but not moving after the collision.

He suffered non-life-threatening injuries and is expected to be fine, police said.
