You spelled every thing correctly. An individual didn't devote any heinous grammatical offenses. So next... what is the particular missing key ingredient from the copy gravy? How can you desire to publish the juice through which caffienates the writing, wakes upwards and shakes upwards your viewers, along with the conclusion brings additional profit?
The absent copy ingredient could possibly be the Human Feel. Hit that right, along with your copy bristles as well as life and as well fuels your web visitors while using the examine obtain. Miss the specific boat, and you're merely another webmaster, dragging his / her readers in cheap beats by dre towards Groan Zoom.
2. Turn the purpose of view. If almost all of your net copy shows your audience of exactly what 'we' perform and just what 'we' now have, then make the point of view switch. Supply the copy any run-through, and back out of dozens of we's and in addition us's. Permit trusty reddish pen guide the best way.
Let's mention you published a thing that claims, 'We've got over

' Change it every single child something far more envigorating plus customer-focused, just as: 'Imagine the amount more you possibly can accomplish employing a 10+ yr professional designer on your side.

This was my first Critical Mass.

I hung to the back of the pack and stopped at the first red light we encountered. One of the bike cops blocked the way shouting, "It's a red light! It's a red light!" One girl tried going past him, was stopped and appeared to be getting a ticket as the light turned green. Same thing over the next few lights.

I was feeling a little anti-social (hard to do in a huge group, right?), so I only took a few photos and chatted briefly with a few other riders.

Yeah, it was definitely a strange one. I preferred the dynamic of waiting at green lights to rebuild the mass to folks being ticketed and then everyone bailing really early. There was quite a bit of debate between officers and people that remained relatively civil. I disagreed with most of what they said - one essentially said to me that yes, stopping at the lights and breaking the mass up isn't as safe as corking the street and passing through but that they weren't going to do that for us unless we paid for a permit. Best safety money can buy! Another said that riding on the street in Toronto is perfectly safe as long as you're visible and obey all the rules. After all, he'd been doing it 10 hours/day for years. He didn't have much to say when I pointed out that his uniform probably helped a bit in that respect. Most interesting was the fact that for all they dogged us the whole mass, when it got close to time for the end of their shift, they all bailed en masse at about 8:20 and nobody replaced them. As usual, though, I found that the "self-policed" masses were less stressful, felt more safe, and I really believe moved quicker and blocked way less traffic. Of course best I can tell these guys are just doing what they're told and if they're given the message that traffic must get through at all costs then that's what they're going to do.

All in all a little disappointing. That said, it was still a nice ride with good weather and many great people to talk with.

There were some good costumes this year, and the weather was great.
The cops rode along without any interference that I noticed, but that meant we stopped at most red lights. It was the slowest ride I've been on, I got a bit weary of the stop and go and bailed earlier than usual.

This mass is usually the most fun, as everyone dresses up for Hallowe-en and rides in costume. Great responses from pedestrians. :)

Yea there was one person who stuck out quite a bit where questionable behaviour was concerned. Some examples included swearing at a traffic cop that we passed at Spadina and College and swearing at drivers honking as we were holding up traffic in Kensington. I wasn't around when the mirror incident happened so I can't say who was involved there. Overall, just attitude that made me cringe :/

Funny how just where you are in the mass can affect one's experience. I like being in the middle, myself - too close to the back and you end up in more confrontations with motorists coming up from behind or impatient as they'd waited for everyone else to pass...

Hmm - after talking to Avtar yesterday it sounds as if there was one pretty obnoxious cyclist at the last event. Mostly the rides I've been on have been mostly free of such idiocy. Anyone have any ideas for dealing with this sort? I remember when Chris Carlsson was in town he mentioned that they had a pretty good way to deal with those sorts of people in San Francisco. I'll have to dig around and see what I can find. It's just that sort of thing that brings the cops out, ratchets up the tension and leaves everyone feeling grumpy.

I got to Bad Dog too, but on Saturday... which I'll talk about in the Weekend Topic. :)

The best part was going through Little Italy with Michael playing a few appropriate songs on his trumpet.

Second one for me so far. First one was the impromptu Car Free Day one which didn't have that many bikes on the road. All in all it was a pretty positive experience with a few incidents here and there. Cops did show up at Queen and University but fortunately nothing resulted from that :D

Great to finally meet you Todd! I made it to Bad Dog with just minutes to spare. I was so relieved I didn't have to enter pretending to be one of the cows in the opening scene. Had a great ride home too - Dupont is actually a very nice street to bike on late at night, who knew?

Just tested the dog Croozer - my djembe fits perfectly. I'm all set for tomorrow's drumming class. :)

Really nice Critical Mass. Weather was really gorgeous, drivers/pedestrians/transit drivers mostly very congenial and no police presence at all except for one actually directing traffic at Dundas and Spadina that even kept the mass together (Awesome!). As a bonus, towards the end, the mass passed within a few blocks of my house so it was almost like getting a ride home.

Nice to finally meet AnnieD and get to chat for a bit. Did you show up, MTBer? We didn't see you. Perhaps more of us will show up next month - or maybe we should all just take over a corner of a cafe or pub sometime.

Will do - Likely to be on black bestickered MTB, black rear rack, likely grey vinyl pannier and may well be wearing a lime green windbreaker as it's pretty cold and CM rides slowly so there's little chance of getting warm from riding (which is something I dislike about winter masses *brrr*)

They're quite a mixed bag, IMO. The good ones are *really* good. Some nights drivers seem grumpier than others, and once in a blue moon some riders will get confrontational (but I have only seen that once). If the police show up it gets a bit irritating as they tend to break the mass up by making sure that the mass splits up when the lights turn red and then you end up with cars interspersed with the mass which can be dangerous. At that point they generally start handing out tickets.

Which reminds me - as it starts getting darker earlier they also have been known to hand out tickets for lack of lights. So I'd bring lights as sunset's at 7:09 PM tonight.

Wow, I keep *meaning* to go on the Suburban Critical Mass rides and something always comes up. If I'm not too tied up with packing this weekend (we move next Tuesday) I may give it a go. I met Jacob at the memorial last Wednesday - nice guy. I'm curious to see how a manners-style mass goes.

It's late in the season but perhaps next year it might be fun to try to organize a Critical Manners - not to compete at or as a statement against Critical Mass (I intend to go to both) but to give an alternative to those who aren't comfortable with the feel of Critical Mass. Just a thought.

this magazine has an interview with Jennifer Watkiss who organized Critical Manners in Vancouver:

This: What made you want to start Critical Manners in Vancouver?

Jennifer Watkiss: The idea came about for the Vancouver police when the Vancouver Police issued their first-ever warning about a Critical Mass ride, for the July 2009 ride. The June ride had had a number of altercations, they had blocked off one of the major arteries in and out of town, and the July ride was set to come up on a long weekend, being the last Friday of the month. So the VPD issued a warning. I was explaining what the ride was to a friend of mine who had been out of the country for the past ten years, and was wondering what the fuss was all about. I’d always been frustrated with Critical Mass, thought it wasn’t the right thing to represent cyclists in Vancouver and hasn’t been for quite a while. So I was explaining to him what this was, and looking up the origins of Critical Mass found Critical Manners, which started in a similar response in San Francisco in, I believe, 2007. So I thought, wouldn’t that be a nice thing to do, and I figured I’d suggest the idea and, you know, 10 friends would show up, but cyclists in Vancouver really jumped on the cry and started to invite their friends, and pretty soon we had about a hundred people come out for a ride about three weeks ago.

The rest of the interview is here

I posted the question on twitter and got one response:

@toddtyrtle I rode in #criticalmanners, the first vancvr one It got spread out, but no more dngrous than evryday riding. It's on YouTube

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1tEWo7W8wig

My impressions?

It looks like fun - I'd be willing to try it here if we could get a few of us

The "Not more dangerous than everyday riding" quote does not impress me. That's 90% of why I go to Critical Mass - it *is* safer than everyday riding (when it isn't fragmented by police activity).

Notice, as you watch this, the number of bike lanes throughout the ride. I'm sure that makes it easier/safer as well

Here I think we'd have to give up on the "single file" part or safety would definitely suffer. Taking a single lane would likely work OK, and depending on the size of the group (first ones would likely be small groups) it wouldn't be too hard to stay together or 'reform' when we got to where we were going.

I'm kind of liking the idea of doing these if only to make a strong show of 'there are lots of us who ride safely and follow the rules'. That's the kind of PR we need as a group.

I've ridden a number of Critical Mass rides here in Toronto and my experience has been that it feels very safe. The fact that the entire roadway is taken up by cyclists ensures that we aren't passed too closely, and the fact that the mass is kept together through lights (much to the chagrin of some motorists) results in the mass staying together without cars 'embedded within' I've heard about (and today's Star is talking about) a ride where those two elements are not present: Critical Manners.

They ride single file, obeying the lights, staying out of car lanes and letting vehicles through. Bike-car road rage is to be avoided.

It's a bit polite for a rally of cycling activists, especially since rides such as Critical Mass typically take up entire widths of road to raise awareness and advocate for bike lanes.

But this isn't Critical Mass, the cycling activists' ride that occurs monthly in Toronto and other cities. It's Critical Manners. Billing itself as the "respectful" alternative to Critical Mass, the new ride has begun to gain momentum in cities including San Francisco, and now, Vancouver. And amid discussions in Toronto of how to reach détente between cyclists and cars in the wake of the brutal death of cyclist Darcy Allan Sheppard after a run-in with a car Monday night, some here are anxious to make a kinder, gentler pro-bike statement.

(via the Toronto Star)

I'd be worried that there would be *more* conflicts for the same reasons we have conflicts day to day on the road - disrespectful motorists.

But hey, I'd be willing to try it, and I'd also love to hear from folks - have any of you ridden in a Critical Manners ride? Have you tried both?

One thing I *would* like to point out, though, is the inaccuracy of portraying Critical Mass as activism. To my knowledge there is no organization, no political purpose. It's simply a means to get a number of people together in a safe environment for a large ride. Some may carry flags promoting bike lanes on Bloor for example, but this is not the purpose as I understand it.

Just got back. Started off fun and ran in to a few online friends but then as is often the case, the police got involved. Split the mass up at lights, handed out tickets, and got progressively less tolerant as we went along.

Thing is, with this inconsistency in application of rules, (e.g. starting off corking intersections for us then later handing out tickets) it leaves people confused as to whether or not to go through an intersection. I'm worried someone is going to get hurt going when they shouldn't.

Still, in many ways, we have it *really* good (relatively speaking):
