A Little Sunshine
By cFletch | April 16, 2010

Snapped a few days ago after a family ride to the pizza place. These ‘sidewalk sissies’ are related to me: that’s my oldest (Mr. T, and beside him is my little sister, whom we affectionately call Titi (a nickname she picked up living in France).
Titi is riding my new toy: a vintage CCM Galaxie, purchased last week. It’s in need of some sprucing up, most noticably it needs new rubber. My mission next week: tracking down some Schwalbe Delta Cruisers in Creme.
This week I’ve been trying to find the date of manufacture, and a search of CCM serial numbers has me baffled. Can’t find information on serial numbers between 1961-68, and one source suggests that this may be a ’65. I’m stuck. Would be very grateful to anyone who could point me in the right direction.

Nice find!
This source: http://www.thecabe.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?1603-CCM-serial-number-Help seems to suggest it might be a 1971 though yours has 6 digits and their example had only 5.

I found a page with pictures of the “trigger” and that puts this bike at 1971 also. I think I’ll go with that.

I know this post is old now, but if you haven’t resolved it, the bike is almost certainly a 1971. I have one as well. The date will be stamped on the 3-speed internal gear hub on the rear wheel.
