Duncan's City Ride
A BikingToronto Blog
Oh dear! I long for the FBI agent from Twin Peaks to dig my style while wearing a bright yellow Nutcase helmet.
From the upcoming show Portlandia.
Duncan rides bicycles in the city of Toronto and contributes to the main blog of BikingToronto as well as writing and taking photos for his blog Duncan's City Ride.
This looks hilarious! :) Can’t wait to see it.
Took me to Portland for the last 2 hours, now I’m want to move there! Well, actually, Portland has interested me for quite some time; lots of interesting people on my Twitter stream are broadcasting from Portland. Second only to San Fransisco for Geeks.
Executive producer Lorne Michaels (SNL Kids in the Hall…), brings together great writers Fred Armisen (SNL) and Carrie Brownstein (of Sleater-Kinney band – http://www.sleater-kinney.com/video/entertainbig.html – save to WMP file, play in GOM Player – or, if you must, just open and it will automatically play with Quick-Time Player in a 4 X 4 inch box – which is a BAD experience).
IFC, the station producing the series, has an interesting Youtube Channel – makes me think Youtube could be a way to aggregate viewers to a new production. In my vision re-runs of a new show would be posted on Youtube immediately after all paying affiliates have run the episode; then, network television advertising pointing to a Youtube Channel grows the audience, which want to see new episodes as soon as they can, like on network TV, thus attracting more network affiliate demand and network buyers to the series. Unfortunately they’re not running whole shows on Youtube – just single sketches, but with a sketch comedy show that works; but for any other type of show, like the ‘Larry Saunders Show’ which the IFC also has snippets of, up – it doesn’t work – the snippets just make you wish you could watch a whole episode, so it’s off the P2P downloading – which content owners haven’t figured out how to monetize yet.
And no, I’m not moving to Portland.
I wanted to visit Portland even before seeing this – mainly thanks to BikePortland and I’ll have my chance – my brother lives near Vancouver, so a cool Vancouver – Portland trip may be in the cards someday. :)
I *love* the part of the Bicycle Rights video where he tries to establish a bikelane on a bus. So hilarious.
As I website possessor I think the content material material here is genuinely superb , appreciate it for your efforts.
