One cycling advocate is confident that’s the best way of encouraging people in Markham to ride bicycles in the city, even if that means a bylaw must be removed or altered by council.
Markham will be receiving two new cycling paths thanks to investments made by the provincial government. However, some advocates say that’s a far cry from what’s needed to encourage cycling and calls are being made to do even more to boost the number of bicycle pathways.
