Left Wing Pinko I Bike T.O. Shirt available in More Colours

Sales of the Left-Wing Pinko I Bike T.O. Shirts are going extremely well! We’ll be updating this blog about the sales numbers soon. :)

Just a reminder that not only do we now have mens and womens t-shirts with the Left-Wing Pinko I Bike T.O. design (in addition to the original v-neck), but you can customize the colour of the shirt for no extra cost.

100% of the profits from these shirts are going to charity (we’ll post about that soon), so be sure and get one for yourself plus any family or friends who may appreciate getting one for Christmas!

If you have any problems with the online merch system, shoot me an email at joe[at]bikingtoronto.com – and I’ll try to help out.

Photo: Don Cherry’s Pink Pashley Bike from Curbside

After Don Cherry’s weird and ranty “Pinko” comments at City Hall last week, Curbside Cycle decided to give him a pretty pink bike.  We’ve found a photo for you:

Also, Curbside wants to custom paint the fenders for Don, and wants you to help pick the design:

Help us choose the pattern for his custom painted bike fenders generously offered by Noah at Velocolour.

We’ve selected a lush array of Cherry’s suit patterns for you to choose from. What should it be!?!

Curbside Cycle wants to give Don Cherry a Pink Bike

There’s a lot of great stuff coming out of this whole Don Cherry / Rob Ford / Pinko thing.  The shirts we made (which are proving *very* popular!), the buttons Spacing is producing are seemingly just the beginning.

Curbside Cycle is giving Don Cherry the opportunity to *literally* back-pedal by giving him him a custom painted Pashley… a PINK one, of course!

People ride because cars can no longer keep their promise of freedom and autonomy, the bicycle can.  You see, we don’t like the gravy train anymore than those folks in “Ford country”, but you may be surprised by how many Ford supporters ride around each day by bicycle. In other words, the stereotype isn’t particularly helpful and certainly doesn’t unify a city in desperate need of a diverse transportation solution.

So we’d like to take a little egg off your face and allow you to (literally) do a bit of backpedalling. We’d like to give you a bicycle. In a blushing shade of ironic pink, this bike will be customized to your own remarkable style. The bike will be a Pashley from the United Kingdom, a company that has been producing real city bikes for 80 years, and the details will be custom painted by Noah Rosen of Velocolour.  We’re asking the city to choose their favorite Don Cherry pattern (below) whether it be be a Plaid, a floral, or what-have-you. And we’d like you to come by, pick it up in person, and go for a latte with us.

Read the full letter on the Curbside website.

What else can we give Don to thank him for giving us a symbol to rally behind?

Video: Don Cherry and his Pinko Rant

Heard about Don Cherry’s rant against Pinkos the other day?  Want to see if in full pink0-suit colour?

Left-Wing Pinko I Bike T.O. ShirtI’m wondering if he thinks that all Pinkos ride bicycles, or that anyone who rides a bicycle is a Pinko. Hmmm.

Check out the shirts we made yesterday. They’re unisex, they’re v-neck, they’re made by American Apparel. They are 24.95, and all profits go to bike-related charities in Toronto!
