EVENT: June 25-26 – Richmond-Adelaide Bikelane Study

We are studying the potential for physically separated bicycle lanes (known as “cycle tracks” between Bathurst Street to Sherbourne Street using Richmond, Adelaide and/or Wellington Street. A north-south cycling connection between the existing Beverly Street bicycle lanes and the waterfront, using Peter or Simcoe Street, will also be studied.

Date: Tuesday, June 25, and Wednesday June 26, 2013

Time: (both days) 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. - Materials on display

(both days) 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. - Project team on site to answer questions

(Tuesday only) 6 p.m. – Spoken presentation of the materials

Location: City Hall Rotunda, 100 Queen St. W.

To celebrate the creation of this bike lane Councillor Janet Davis is hosting an inaugural ride on:

Start Time: 10am
Starting Place: Dawes Road and Danforth Avenue – North Side

Please join Councillor Janet Davis at the starting point on June 22nd! We will decorate our bikes and ride the length of the bike lanes to celebrate the opening of cycling season and bike month.

Cycle the Community: A ride to the future of Toronto Centre-Rosedale — Group tours of planned bike infrastructure projects in Ward 27 and 28. Meet cyclists and local Councillors at Noon in Allan Gardens, before educational rides ending at Sugar Beach.

Huron-Wendat Trail Ride on the Finch Hydro Corridor — Ceremonial plaque unveiling which will explore Toronto’s shared heritage with the Huron-Wendat Nation.

Street Smarts cycling safety and flat repair workshop at Dufferin-St.Clair Library — Free workshop on the benefits of commuting by bicycle, laws that govern cyclists and motorists, techniques for safe street riding, basic bike maintenance, and how to fix a flat tire (hands-on!).

EVENT: June 17 – Jays Days Bike Parade

Love this event!  Biking to the Jays game!

It’s very simple. Decked out in Jays gear, we’ll meet at TALLBOYS and then bike down to the Rogers Centre for the game. Get tickets ahead of time or just buy one at the gate!
