EVENT: Sat, Nov 16 – The Toronto Tweed Rally

RAIN OR SHINE, NOVEMBER 16th 2013 – Tweed enthusiasts, cyclists, messengers, and fashionistas of yesteryear are invited to the Toronto Tweed Rally, a metropolitan bike affair done in a rally race style!

The inaugural Toronto Tweed “Rally” is a Tweed cycling inspired event for everyone! In support of the “official” “Toronto Tweed Ride” slated for the spring of 2014. Tweed cycling mavens are welcome to this smaller, intimate, and very different kind of event to celebrate vintage cycling in Toronto.

Don tweeds, woolies, vintage or retro sporting styles and early century inspired fashion, grab your bike and join us in an exciting rally style ride for individuals and small groups around historic Toronto!

Celebrating messengers of yesterday and the long tradition of delivery by bicycle in Toronto. There will be several exciting events for the day including:

– Free form, family oriented rally ride visiting dozens of historic Toronto properties, each with a challenging landmark to be recorded in the “Rally Manifest”. 
– “Tweed Cat” alley cat for the messenger and exssenger community
– Optional “Blessing of the Bikes” service put on by our HQ facility hosts St. John the Martyr Anglican Church (all faiths and denominations welcome)
– After Ride Pub Night
– Instagram #tweedrallyTO photo contest

Meet at St. George the Martyr Garden Courtyard! 197 John St. Downtown.
– 11am Tea and Coffee Meet and Greet
– 12pm Rally Ride and Tweed Cat Registration
– 5pm After Ride Pub Night (Firkin on King, 461 King St. West)

Cost of registration:
$20 per individual rider
$45 for groups of 3 to 5
Children under 12 are free but must be accompanied by an adult guardian
