Join or Renew with Cycle Toronto, get a free I Bike T.O. shirt (and other stuff)

UPDATE: The Free T-shirt / Gelaskins / Roots promotion is over (I passed 100 people referred), but the prizes further down this post are still up for grabs.

Well, this is a little crazy.  I launched this promotion this morning, and 30 people have already signed up.  That means only 70 free shirts are left.  Get one while you can!

All you need to do to get a shirt is be one of the first 100 people to become (or renew as) a member of Cycle Toronto using this link.

(Even if your membership isn’t up for renewal, the Cycle Toronto people say using that link will automatically add another year onto your membership – just use the same email address.)

The ONLY thing I’ll ask is for $5 to cover packaging and shipping to get the shirt to you.  All other costs and taxes will be covered by me.

A few days after you sign up or renew, I’ll email you with details about choosing the colour and size of shirt you want.

Please click here to sign up (or renew) with Cycle Toronto.

Want more?

Okay… I’ll give you some more cool stuff for joining (or renewing with) Cycle Toronto.  Twist my arm. ;)

Gelaskins, a local company that makes skins for cell phones, ipods, laptops and lots of other devices, have graciously donated 100 gift cards… EACH worth $25.    If you’re one of the first 100 people joining (or renewing) with Cycle Toronto, you’ll not only get a shirt from me, but a $25 gift card from Gelaskins!  Score!

ALSO…

Roots Canada has donated 100 discount cards that’ll save you $15 when you spend $75.  So yes… if you’re one of the first 100 people joining (or renewing) with Cycle Toronto, you’ll not only get a shirt from me, but a $25 gift card from Gelaskins AND a $15 Roots Discount Card!

A Devinci Montreal Bike!

(value: $650)

Cycle Toronto is putting the names of everyone who signs up into a draw for a bike donated by Curbside Cycle.  The bike is a Devinci Montreal and looks amazing.  If you win you can choose the male or female version of the bike.

“We met with Devinci about five years ago to help design a lightweight, sportier city bike, that could truly multi-task day-in-day-out city cycling plus longer recreational jaunts on the weekend. The Devinci Montreal is part of our passion to develop truly North American designed city bikes and we feel its offers a lighter, stronger, more rust-resistant and comfortable bike than most of its European competition. Very limited edition, only 300 made!”

2 Road Holland Jerseys

(value: $120 each)

We make serious and stylish cycling wear. Serious because cycling demands clothes that fit well, perform well, and last. Stylish because we believe riders shouldn’t look like ad-emblazoned corporate team clowns just because they are on two wheels.

revolution-on-dvd5 Revolution Movie BluRay DVDs – donated by Roots Canada

(value: $25 each)

Toronto filmmaker Rob Stewart turns his camera from the saving the oceans — as he did with 2006 film-fest favourite Sharkwater — to the rest of the planet with Revolution.  Inspired by a question from the audience at a Hong Kong screening of Sharkwater, where a student wonders why Stewart is so worried about saving sharks when it looks like the oceans will be devoid of life by 2048, Stewart sets off to find answers.
