June 22: Cycle for Sight

Cycle for Sight presents a great opportunity for participants to rediscover Ontario’s rich countryside and fascinating towns. The journey will be an experience that you will always remember. After months of preparation and training, the ride will be the ultimate challenge. Once youve completed your fundraising, now all you have to do is ride!

Thanks to the local Lions Clubs for sponsoring our 4 rest stops along the way, King City, Schomberg, Alliston and Stayner; where riders can stop and grab a snack, take a washroom break and rehydrate. You will receive plenty of encouragement from team members, volunteers and fellow Cycle for Sight supporters along the way. Cycle for Sight will provide support vehicles en route, bike mechanics and EMS for your safety.

Cycle for Sight has 2 ride options:

  • 140 km ride from Toronto to Collingwood
  • 70 km ride from Alliston to Collingwood

NEWS: A Complete List of Bloor Bike Lane Articles

After 4 decades (!) of Toronto considering the possibility of bike lanes on Bloor, Toronto City Council overwhelmingly voted (38-3) in favour of a 1 year pilot to collect data and evaluate a 2 km stretch of Bloor with bikelanes. I think a lot of people were surprised at just how lopsided the vote was… […]

Thanks to Biking Toronto Sponsors

Just a quick post to mention and thank the current sponsors of Biking Toronto who have been generous enough to partner with the site  to help keep this website moving forward. Pay them a visit today, they believe in biking in Toronto. Singer Kwinter‘s goal is to help riders understand their rights.  Named one of Canada’s top […]
