Win an Orontas Lube & Cleaner Prize Pack!

NOTE: This Contest is now Closed.  Thanks for your interest and for playing! :)

Today is the first day of BikeMonth, and here at BikingToronto, BikeMonth means contests!  Yay!

Here is our first one (we’ll be releasing a 2nd in a couple hours…) and it’s courtesy of the nice and great people at Toronto-based Orontas, who, if you haven’t heard of them before, can be nicely summed up by this quote on their website:

Orontas isn’t green. Orontas isn’t even “going green”.

We hold ourselves to an ethical standard that includes using sustainable and biodegradable materials that don’t come with skulls and crossbones.

So… what’s the contest?  Orontas has donated 7 BikeCare Prize Packs (each consisting of Lube and Cleaner, a $28 value) for us to give away (1 each day for the first 7 days of BikeMonth) starting TODAY!

How do you enter?  Just like with our I Bike T.O. t-shirt giveaway or our GreenLiving Show giveaway earlier this year, all you have to do to enter the contest is to share the contest on Twitter!

How do you do that? Just click the “Pay with a Tweet” graphic below and it’ll get you to sign in to Twitter, tweet about the contest, and then it’ll give you a link to the contest entry from, so you can give us your contact info if you win.

It’s as easy as that… and your entries will be good for the entire week of the contest… AND you can enter multiple times if you want to tweet about it on multiple days.  We’re easy like that.

If you’re interested in Orontas follow them on Twitter or Like them on Facebook.

NEWS: Nearby bikeshare station may raise your home’s value

Having a bike share station outside your front door might do more than give you a convenient way to ride to work — it might also boost the value of your home. According to a new study from McGill University, residential units in Montreal are worth more if they’re close to a Bixi station, Montreal’s […]

OH YEAH! The Viaduct bikelanes get MORE green paint!

Well, I don’t know what’s going on.  This is a level of paying attention to cycling infrastructure on the Bloor Viaduct that, quite frankly, I thought I’d never see (and it pissed me off, often). But now, after the green paint that was laid down late last week in the bikelane, there is now MORE […]

FACEPALM: City closes Hoskin bikelane for PanAm Games

What’s a great idea?  Closing down one of the busiest bikelanes in the city and not providing a detour that’s safe for cyclists (and pedestrians) because of the “short distance of the inconvenience”. A sign erected on June 25 indicates the closure of the Hoskin bike lane for two months during the Pan Am Games. […]
