Testing out the Cupcake Ride Route

Hyedie of the Girls Cupcake Ride and I met up today to test out the route we’re taking tomorrow for our co-ed Sweet Ride: Cupcake Edition (click here for the facebook event page).

Other than a whole ton of wind that fought us every step of the way, it was a great route. It essentially takes the Davenport, Jarvis, Gerrard and Dundas East bikelanes to get from the Cupcakery on St. Clair West to Bobbette & Belle in Leslieville. The ride took us about 45 minutes.

Here are some photos we took today to try and entice you (as if bicycles and cupcakes aren’t enough enticement already!) out on our ride tomorrow.

Hyedie at our start point – the Cupcakery!

Being Good Friday, the Cupcakery was closed, but their window displays looked tasty. If they were open I would’ve named it Better Friday.

Our end point, Bobbette & Belle in Leslieville.

This store is huge, and so nicely designed. Alas, they were closed as well, so we had to peer in longingly from the windows.

Yours truly outside Bobbette & Belle.  Yes, I am that dorky and striking a pose.  haha.  Look at my pant leg in my sock.  Tres cycle chic.

Hyedie’s bike likes cupcake stores.

Your organizers for the Sweet Ride: Cupcake Edition – Hyedie and I.  Hyedie is the pretty one, I’m the one in the hat. :)
