Yes, Toronto is a big city, and yes it has it’s share of car traffic congestion… but it’s not too bad, despite the assertions of some columnists. The proof is a video of a morning bike commute on major roads, with almost no car traffic:

The problem with his point about dedicated bike lanes is that whether we have dedicated bike lanes or not, all roads and bike lanes eventually reach an intersection where all traffic intersects and that is where most accidents happen. The issue is drivers and cyclists not being mindful of each other.
