Sharrows appearing on College Street.
Rush hour sharrows are starting to be painted in Toronto this week. These are bicycle markings meant to show drivers that they should be aware of sharing the road with bikes (sharrow is a combination of the words “share” and “arrow”) as well as showing cyclists where they should be on the road.
Rush hour sharrows are placed on roads that have non-rush hour parking… meaning that when parking is allowed, the sharrows are under parked cars, but during rush hours they are visible.
