Cycling Events This Week: April 4 – 11

Happy Easter Monday! Wipe that chocolate off your mouth (if you’re not unconscious from overdosing) and load up your bike basket or pannier bags with chocolate eggs to take them with you this week. :)

CBN Workshop – Flat Fix/Intro to Bike Repair

Ward 30 Bike Advocacy Group Meeting

  • Tues, April 6
  • 7 – 8:15 PM
  • Riverdale Public Library (Northeast corner of Gerrard and Broadview – map)
  • We will be talking about the results of the Ward 30 Cycling Survey and taking a look at a few huge Ward 30 Maps to highlight suggestions.

Wednesday Wheelie Ride

  • Wed, April 7
  • 10 AM – 1 PM
  • Various start points (see website for details)
  • The nature of the Wednesday day rides known as the “Wednesday Wheelies” might be the best-kept secret in the TBN. Wednesday Wheelies are social, tourist-level rides that cover routes similar to the popular Country Cruises, but which have the glorious advantage of roads, often busy with traffic on a Sunday, being nearly deserted mid-week. Good quality maps are provided in the format also in use on the Sunday Country Cruise.

  • CBN is now offering classes in bike repair that build on our introductory (‘Flat-fix and Tune-up’) class.  The classes are taught by experienced mechanics and provide an intimate, focused, learning environment. The number of participants is limited to 6 per class.
