Hi there, just wondering if you have any advice for me – on Wednesday during rush hour I have to bike from Dovercourt and Bloor to York University. Looking for the most pleasant and safest route,

You have to take a “screen shot” of your map, then push the upload/insert button (top right of this box), and upload your picture (remember to link your uploaded picture to the original map). It’s a little complicated – I’m working on a simplification. I hope these are up in time to be handy for folks today..

This is another east/west route that avoids Bloor St. West and the core and comes to Bloor St East at Sherbourne. I started this map at Hallam St. because everyone should know about the Hallam St Bike lanes. Hallam connects with Harbourd bike lane with a suicide zig zag down to Harbourd on Ossington. That turn at Ossington is dangerous and usually very busy with car traffic is a ‘get to’ for cars into the core. Not for bikes. So I suggest north at Shaw (which is a one way south) up to Dupont which also has a bike lane take that to Yonge and through Rosedale to Sherbourne.
Hallam (Bike Lane) up Shaw (one way south) to Dupont (Bike Lane) and Dufferin to Bloor St East (Bike Lane) and Sherbourne (Bike Lane).
